עוצרים את הריסת בתי העלמין של ''בני ישראל'' בהודו

הרס בתי העלמין העתיקים של "בני ישראל" שבהודו חייב להיעצר ועכשיו!!!

סמלי הקהילה ההיסטוריים והתרבותיים  עם יהדות ומסורת נחרבים מידי יום בהודו!

קהילה יקרה

אבותינו, משפחתנו וכל יקירינו שבזכותם אנו כאן, מתבזים מידי יום וכל שעה יותר ויותר בקבריהם בהודו, עקב מעשי ההשחתה והוונדליזם שמתבצעים מידי יום שעה שעה בבתי הקברות שלנו בהודו בכלל המקומות על ידי בעלי אינטרסים, ושונאי ישראל אנטישמיים.

אנו חייבים לעצור את זה כאן ומיד בפנייה לשלטון בישראל ובהודו לעצור את ההרס ולהשיב את כבוד אבותינו המנוחים, אשר בארץ המה.

אבותינו אשר הגיעו להודו - חבל קוקאן לפני כ 2000 שנה, לאחר נדודים ותלאות מארץ ישראל, הגיעו אל חבל ארץ זה והשתקעו שם, בנו בתים, בתי כנסת, וניתנו להם מאת המושלים דאז, מקומות קבורה מסודרים על מנת שנוכל להביא את נפטרי הקהילה לקבר ישראל, כדת וכדין.

רוצים להתעורר מחר ולגלות שעצמות אבותינו הוצאו מקברם ומתגוללות בחוצות?!

עקב עליית בני הקהילה ארצה  וחוסר שמירה על שטחים אלו, לצערנו הרב גורמים פרטיים וממשלתיים בעלי עניין כלכלי וגורמים שלא רואים ערך בקבורת ישראל החלו להרוס חלקים נרחבים של בתי קברות של קהילתנו על מנת להרוויח הון מהנדל"ן לכיסם הפרטיים.

קברי אבותינו מושחתים, עצמותם מוצאות מהקברים להררי הזבל ובמקומם נבנים כבישים, מגדלי ענק ופאר בה בשעה שאבותינו וקהילתנו כולה מתבזה יום יום שעה שעה!

תכף לא יהיה לנו בתי קברות לפקוד בטיולים לשם, תכף זה יגיע גם לבתי הכנסת הישנים שלנו בהודו? איך אנחנו יכולים לעמוד ולשתוק?

מה עושים כדי לעצור את זה? יש לנו את היכולת לעצור את זה!!!

אנו קוראים לכל בני הקהילה לחתום על עצומה זו שתוגש לכלל הגורמים הממשלתיים הרשמיים בהודו, על מנת שיידרשו לסוגיה ובהמשך למעמד המיעוט שהוענק לקהילה יכירו בשטחים אלו כאתרי מורשת שלא יהיה ניתן להרוס בעתיד לצורך נדל"ן כבישים שימוש פרטי ועוד, מה שלצערנו קורה כיום. 

מחאה קהילתית  וציבורית עצימה, היא הדרך שלנו לעצור את רמיסת כבודם של אבותינו, חזנינו, ומנהיגי קהילתנו הקבורים שם. 

לכל אחד מאתנו יש שם משפחה אבות, סבים סבתות, דודים, דודות - אין לאף אחד שום סיבה להתעלם מקריאה זו!

אל תשאירו את המאבק הזה לאחרים!!! אף אחד לא ידאג לנו אם לא נדאג לעצמנו, בעצמנו!

Dear Bene Israel, and other Indian or non-Indian Jewish Community we have an urgent Matter.

We have been welcomed & helped in the great land of India approx. 2500 years back, and grown to bigcommunity from few couples who were washed to the shores of Navgaon in Alibag division. Our Ancestorswere called ‘Shaniwar teli’, means Saturday oil pressers, and later called ‘Bene Israel’ Jews.

This letter is public petition to be submitted in required institution; to bring attention to us from HonorableCourts, Governor, Government Offices, in India, ie. Collector office, Municipalities, Village registrationoffices, Maharashtra Mantralaya, and others related institutions. We want to create awareness of the Jewish(Bene Israel) community sentimental issues and request help for Preservation of cultural and historicalheritage. We appreciate receiving a minority status, but it is not helping to preserve our cemeteries, in state ofMaharashtra, India. The Jewish (Bene Israel) community need to be benefited from the constitutional rightsand remove consequently hurdles upon our religious customs and cultural practices. We plead to provideassistance for protection for the cemeteries and accept our existence of religious needs and values.

Gondhalpada (Alibag

Encroachment of Cemetery area by some family who came to stay inside the area of cemetery, they tie cattleto the grave head and then they are broken by the cattle and also man hand involved in to the destruction ofgraves. The cemetery is in horrible condition. Action Needed: Protection and Preservation of the JewishCemetery, remove the encroacher’s out of the cemetery.

Cause: The planed Coastal Road Project will affecting the Jewish (Bene Israel) cemetery, cause irreparabledestruction to the Ancient Jewish Cemetery and graves, damage of tombstones, and the obliteration ofhistorical and cultural symbols. The Petition is not against the development of infrastructure projects, buturges the authorities to consider alternative solutions. There are graves from year 1800’s too, clearly passedmore than 100 years.Organizers: Organization of Indian Immigrants in Kiryat Ekron and Its Environs (R.A), chaired by MosheSogavkar; Benjamin Waskar, Mrs.Maxcin Moses, and Jewish Heritage Trust, (in India).
