אנו, החתומים, סטודנטים, בוגרים וסגל האקדמיה לאמנות ועיצוב בצלאל, תומכים ביצירת מדיניות השקעות אחראית שאינה כוללת תמיכה בחברות דלקי מאובנים. אנו רואים בצעד זה ציווי מוסרי למוסד אשר מופקד על שיפור עתידו של הדור הבא, כמו גם הכרח כלכלי מול הסיכון המוגבר שמייצגות השקעות מסוג זה. אנו מרגישים מחויבים לעשות כל שביכולתנו כדי להאט את שינויי האקלים ומכירים בשקיפות כתנאי הכרחי לווידוא מימוש הצעדים כשותפים לאחריות. למוסד הלימוד שלנו צריכות להיות אותן דאגות, ואף ישות העוסקת בעתידנו לא צריכה להרוויח מלהעמיד אותם בסכנה.

We, the undersigned, students, alumni and faculty of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, support the creation of a responsible investment policy that does not include support for fossil fuel companies. We see this move as a moral imperative for an institution entrusted with improving the future of the next generation, as well as an economic necessity in the face of the increased risk that such investments represent. We feel committed to doing everything we can to slow down climate change and recognize the value of transparency as a necessary condition for ensuring the implementation of the steps as partners in responsibility. Our educational institution should have the same concerns, and no entity dealing with our future should benefit from putting them in danger.

It is in Bezalel’s obligation, as an institution that strives to lead and act out of leadership, to join the over 1,400 educational institutions around the world that have effectively declared a responsible investment policy, free of fossil fuels.

This is the time to move forward, for the benefit of us all. Sign the petition and together we will begin to mend for the sake of a just and clean future.
