לפצות את משפחתו של הפטום זרהום ז"ל, קורבן לינץ בטעות בבאר שבע

הפטום זרהום ז"ל היה עובד אריתריאי שנהרג כתוצאה מירי ע"י מאבטח ולינץ אכזרי שעשו בו בשל טעות בזיהוי. מר זרהום היה בבאר שבע כדי לחדש את רישיון העבודה שלו, שבו הוא השתמש כדי להתפרנס ביושר ולתורם לחברה. משטרת ישראל החליטה להגיש כתבי אישום כנגד המעורבים בלינץ, וכוחות הביטחון ממשיכים לחפש את המחבל שהצליח לברוח בזכות הטעות הנ"ל. 

ברצוננו לבקש שבמקום לגרום לנטל כספי נוסף לאזרחי ישראל דרך עלות המאסר (כ-300 ש"ח לאדם ליום, עד 20 שנים), שהאשמים במוות זה ייענשו ע"י קנס כבד, ושהכסף ילך למשפחתו של מר זרהום. זה הדבר הנכון לעשות מכל הבחינות, והדבר היחיד שמתקרב לצדק אמיתי.

Haptom Zarhom (RIP) was an Eritrean refugee mistaken for a terrorist and shot by a security guard, then brutally beaten and killed by a lynch mob. Mr. Zarhom was in Be'er Sheva to renew his work visa, which he used to earn an honest living and contribute to society. Israeli police decided to bring charges against those involved in the lynch, and security forces continue to search for the real terrorist, who managed to escape thanks to the aforementioned mistake.

We would like to ask that instead of causing additional financial burden to the citizens of Israel through the cost of incarceration (300 per person per day, for up to 20 years), the guilty will be heavily fined, and the money will go to the family of Mr. Zarhom. It's the right thing to do, and the only thing that comes close to true justice.
