No to high rises on my street--התנגדות לבקשה מס' 20130601

We object to Request 20130601, Gush 6580, Chelka 173 Motskin 6

We believe that the proposed construction is inconsistent with the character and aesthetics of Raanana’s streets in general, and Motskin Street in particular. We are concerned that the proposed construction will lead to a significant increase in traffic on Motskin Street, which will cause congestion and pose a danger to the public, including to parents and pupils of neighboring schools.

We believe that approval of the request will represent a dark day in Raanana’s urban planning standards. We strongly urge the Vaada to reject this request, so that we can continue living in the beautiful city that we chose as our home. The proposed construction aims to twist the Tama 38 laws, by creating a legal fiction. Tama  38 should apply to tall buildings that require strengthening. It was certainly not the intention of the lawmakers to permit the building of high rises instead of private houses under the guise of "strengthening" against earthquakes. If Iriyat Raanana approves this request, it will create a dangerous precedent in the city of Raanana that will lead to the destruction of its unique neighbourhoods.

אנו סבורים שהבנייה המוצעת (בניין בן 6 קומות על עמודים במקום בית פרטי ברחוב שכולו בתים פרטיים) אינה מתיישבת עם האופי והמראה של הרחובות של רעננה באופן כללי ורח' מוצקין בפרט. אנו חוששים כי הבנייה המוצעת תביא לגידול משמעותי בתנועה ברחוב מוצקין, דבר שיגרום לצפיפות ומהווה סכנה לציבור, ובכלל זה להורים ותלמידים של בתי ספר הסמוכים. אנו מאמינים כי אישור הבקשה יהווה יום שחור בסטנדרטים של תכנון ובנייה בעיר רעננה. אנו מבקשים מהוועדה לדחות בקשה זו על מנת שנוכל להמשיך ולחיות בעיר היפה שבה בחרנו לגדל את המשפחות שלנו.     הבנייה המוצעת נועדה לעוות את חוקי תמ"א 38, על ידי יצירת פיקציה משפטית. תמ"א 38 אמור לחול רק על בניינים גבוהים שדורשים חיזוק. ובוודאי לא הייתה בכוונת המחוקק לאפשר בניית בניין רב קומות במקום בית צמוד קרקע במסווה של חיזוק. אם עיריית רעננה תאשר את הבקשה הזאת, היא תיצור תקדים מסוכן בעיר רעננה, שיוביל להרס השכונות הייחודיות שלה.
