That this year Israel will participate in Eurovision 2024 in Malmö, Sweden

Hello to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation "Kaan",

We have all heard in the last few hours the news that the European Broadcasting Union, the EBU, may disqualify the Israeli song for Eurovision 2024 "October Rain" for political reasons. In response to this, the Israeli broadcasting corporation Kan refuses to change the lyrics of the song, whatever the cost.

Although we have not read the lyrics of the song and we have not listened to it and we cannot determine whether the EBU's decision is justified or not, but we are asking the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation "here" in any language of request - do not shoot ourselves in the foot and lead to Israel withdrawing from the competition!

Israel's withdrawal from the Eurovision contest will lead to a clear victory for the organizations, countries and artists calling for our boycott, which will turn the Eurovision into a pro-Palestinian victory celebration. Without even mentioning the possibility of Israel being boycotted from the Eurovision by the EBU and/or the Israeli audience losing their will to participate in the competition in the coming years (similar to what happened with Russia and Belarus) - something that will cause a serious injury among Israeli Eurovision viewers and fans.

As a public broadcaster, we believe that here he will be able to hear the opinions of the citizens of the country and reconsider his decision if the song is disqualified and he is required to change the lyrics.
