Keep Wittlin family in OTA

This petition is being signed by families at OTA who are upset the Wittlins are leaving. We are all parents who deeply appreciate Rabbi and Mrs. Wittlin, and we personally know how much Rabbi and Mrs. Wittlin mean both to us and our beloved children. Rabbi Wittlin always put our children’s needs first, dealing with them with warmth, professionalism, and unique expertise. He has spent a significant amount of time sitting with us, guiding us and expending efforts on our behalf. Mrs. Wittlin is an outstanding role model for our girls, holding them to ambitious standards, while showing them their inner greatness. She has real relationships with the girls, and they treasure her like a second mother. All this is aside from the leadership and love they have given our kids, the teachers, the whole school and the community - dealing with their issues ranging from small to large. They are rare individuals, full of genuine care and love. Rabbi Wittlin himself has many roles in the school, but his expertise in providing balanced social-emotional support and guidance is particularly important. It will be hard to imagine what the school will be like without him. We sincerely hope that our words and feelings and your knowledge of them can create a change in the current trajectory regarding this special family. We believe that this would be a wise change of course.We would also like to express our disappointment and pain about not having heard about any of this before it went public. We believe that the education of our children is a three-way partnership. The staff, the children, and the parents. We therefore feel that it is our right and responsibility to be informed about and involved in decisions that will directly impact our children. We are committed to OTA and would like our voices to be heard, acknowledged and appreciated.
