אז ככה: עיריית תל אביב נמצאת בתהליך בניית מרכז ספורט ימי במקום בו היה הדולפינריום שבצ׳ארלס קלור - יוזמה יפה שיש לה השלכות רעות עבור קהילת רוכבי ורוכבות הסקייטבורד. 

 

התוכנית של העירייה היא לבנות מחדש את כל האזור של הדולפינריום וזה כולל את רחבת ההחלקה שלנו, שבמשך שנים משמשת אותנו, הרוכבים והיא בעלת ערך גדול עבור סקייטרים ורוכבי גלגיליות. זו הרחבה היחידה בתל אביב שמאפשרת לנו לעסוק בספורט הזה בבטחה ומציעה תנאים אידאליים עבורנו, ביניהם, הבטון החלק שמאפשר לנו נסיעה חלקה ובטוחה.

 

אנחנו מבקשים מהעירייה לכלול אותנו בתוכניות שלהם לבניית הרחבה מחדש, לפני שיהיה מאוחור מידי ולא יישאר לנו איפה להחליק. אנחנו מבקשים מהעירייה להשאיר לנו את סוג המשטח החלק ולא להחליפו בסוג אחר ולאפשר לנו להמשיך בפעילות שלנו ולטפח את הקהילה שלנו כפי שעשינו ואנחנו עושים במשך שנים.

What’s happening? The Tel Aviv Municipality is in the process of building a new Center for Watersport at the location of the Dolphinarium - a beautiful initiative that will have a bad outcome for Tel Aviv's skaters and skater-friends. 

 

The plans cover the rebuilding of the entire surroundings, including a short section of the promenade which has been a valuable spot for many of Israel’s longboarders, skateboarders, surfskaters and rollerskaters for many years. 

This spot is the only remaining location which offers easy access and most-importantly an ideal, smooth floor. 

 

Our appeal to the Municipality is to be involved and considered in the plans of rebuilding the area, before it’s too late. We are asking the Municipality to leave us a spot with an adequate floor that allows us to continue practicing our sport, and growing our beautiful community.
