התנגדות להקצאת מגרש בשכונת שיינפלד

הובא לידיעתנו על כוונת העירייה להקצות את המגרש הגובל בישיבת ראשית והחניון ליד הגנים בשכונת שיינפלד למוסד "ישיבת הכותל" כאשר מטרת ההקצאה היא הנחת מנ"דים לשם הקמת מכינה קדם צבאית

אנו תושבי שכונת שיינפלד מתכבדים בזאת בשם תושבי השכונה להגיש התנגדות זו להקצאה הנ"ל.

ולהלן נימוקי ההתנגדות:

מגרש זה הינו המגרש החום האחרון הנותר בשכונה וראוי יותר שמגרש זה ישמש את הקהילה, כגון: מבנה לסניף תנועת נוער, בית כנסת נוסף, מבנה לתושבי הקהילה הוותיקה והמתבגרת,  או כל שימוש ציבורי אחר המתאים למרקם השכונתי.

ההקצאה המבוקשת תשרת בעיקר תושבים מישובים אחרים ללא שום זיקה לשכונה ולתושביה.

וראוי יותר שיוקם בשטח נשוא הבקשה מבנה שישרת את תושבי השכונה.

התוכנית המוצעה תפר את השקט הקהילתי ותביא לתנועה מוגברת על ציר אחורי שלא נועד לתחבורה מוגברת.

חלק מהבתים בשכונה (הקרובים לשטח נשוא הבקשה) אוכלסו לאחרונה או נמצאים כעת בהליך האיכלוס ועדיין לא ידוע מה יהיו צרכי התושבים של אותם בתים, למשל בניית בית כנסת נוסף ו/או מבנה קהילתי וכדומה.

אין בהתנגדות זו מכדי להוריד או חלילה לפגוע בהערכה שאנו מייחסים לעבודת הקודש המבוצעת על ידי המבקש אולם אנו דורשים שמגרש זה ישמש את תושבי השכונה ושהפעילות שתתקיים עליה תהיה מתאימה לאופי השקט של שכונת מגורים.

אי לכך אנו תושבי שכונת שיינפלד מתנגדים להקצאה הנ"ל ודורשים שמגרש זה יישמר לצורכי השכונה.

Objection to proposed use of land at Shivtei Israel adjacent to “Reishit” by Yeshivat Ha’Kotel

It has been brought to our attention that the Iriya is considering an application to allocate to “Yeshivat Ha’Kotel” a plot of land between the “Reishit” Yeshivah and the car park adjoining the kindergartens in the Sheinfeld neighborhood, for the purpose of erecting on it caravans which are intended to serve as a pre-army academy.

We object to the proposed allocation for the following reasons:

• The plot in question is the last “brown” area in the neighborhood and it is preferable that it serve the local community, for example: a building for local youth groups, an additional synagogue, a building to serve the ageing community or some other purpose appropriate to the nature of the local community.
• The proposed allocation will serve residents from out of the area and it would be put to better use serving the residents of the Sheinfeld neighborhood.
• The proposed plan will cause a disturbance to the community and will increase the amount of traffic using the access road to an unintended extent.
• A number of houses in the area close to the plot of land in question are only recently occupied or are in the process of occupation, and it is too early to know what the needs of this new part of the community are likely to be, e.g. an additional synagogue, a community center, etc.

Therefore, we, the undersigned residents of the Sheinfeld neighborhood of Bet Shemesh, object to the proposed allocation and demand that this plot of land be reserved for the use and benefit of our neighborhood.
