עזרו לנו להפוך את בית שמש לבטוחה לכל תושבי העיר

לכבוד עיריית בית שמש,

אנו, תושבי בית שמש, פונים אליכם מתוך דאגה עמוקה לנוכח אירועי הביטחון האחרונים בעיר והיעדר מענה מספק לאתגרים אלו. אנו מודעים למורכבות שבהתמודדות עם סוגיות ביטחוניות, אך מאמינים כי פעולה מיידית ונחושה חיונית לשמירה על שלומם וביטחונם של כלל תושבי העיר.

לכן, אנו מבקשים בזאת את יישום הצעדים הבאים:

1. אכיפה קפדנית של היתרי עבודה

אנו קוראים לעירייה לוודא שכל העובדים והשוהים בתחומי העיר פועלים כחוק. יש לפעול להרחקת שוהים ועובדים בלתי חוקיים ולהטיל קנסות על מעסיקים המפרים את החוק. צעד זה יתרום להגברת תחושת הביטחון והסדר בעיר.

2. הגברת הנוכחות הביטחונית

אנו מבקשים להגדיל את הנוכחות המשטרתית והאבטחתית ברחבי העיר, בין אם באמצעות תגבור כוחות המשטרה ובין אם באמצעות הקמת קבוצות משמר קהילתיות. דגש מיוחד נדרש באזורים רגישים ובמקומות עבודה המעסיקים עובדים חוקיים ממגזרים שונים.

3. חיזוק האבטחה במוסדות חינוך ובמרחבים ציבוריים

אנו דורשים להציב מאבטחים ושומרים בגני הילדים, בתי הספר והמרחבים הציבוריים, במטרה להבטיח את ביטחונם של ילדינו ושל תושבי העיר כולם.

4. הרחבת מתן רישיונות נשק לתושבי העיר

אנו מבקשים להכליל את כלל שכונות העיר ברשימת האזורים הזכאים לקבלת רישיון נשק, כדי לאפשר לתושבים הגונים כלים חוקיים להגנה עצמית במידת הצורך.

אנו מאמינים כי יישום צעדים אלו יתרום לשיפור הביטחון האישי והקהילתי, יחזק את תחושת הביטחון ויגביר את האמון בין התושבים לרשויות. אנו מצפים למענה מיידי ולפעולה נחושה למען עתיד בטוח יותר לכל תושבי בית שמש.

Dear Municipality of Beit Shemesh

We, the residents of Beit Shemesh, are deeply concerned about the lack of sufficient protective measures in our community given recent security incidents in the city. While we recognize the complexity of addressing security issues, we believe immediate action is critical to ensure the safety and well-being of our neighborhoods.

Therefore, we respectfully request the following measures

Enforcement of Work Permits: We urge the municipality to ensure that all individuals within our city are legal workers. This includes the removal of those found to be residing or working illegally and the fining of companies hiring illegal workers. 

Increased Security Presence: We request an increase in security presence, whether through more police or community watch groups, particularly in areas where legal workers from all backgrounds are employed. This will help in maintaining peace and deterring criminal activities.

Since only the police are authorized to request Teudat Zehut from Arab citizens and check their legal status , the Iriya must address this with the police 

Safety at Schools & Public Spaces: We ask for the placement of security guards or shomers at kindergartens (gans), schools and other public spaces to safeguard our children and community members.

Firearm Licensing for Beit Shemesh: Designate the entire city of Beit Shemesh as a location eligible for firearms licenses to empower residents with the tools necessary to defend themselves if required.

 

We believe these measures will not only enhance our security but also promote a sense of trust and cooperation among all legal residents of Beit Shemesh. We look forward to your prompt and effective response to these concerns
