אנו, תושבות ותושבי שכונת שפירא החתומים מטה, פונים אליכם בדרישה דחופה וחד-משמעית: יש לספק פתרונות מיגון מיידיים לתושבים המתגוררים בחלקה המערבי של השכונה.

לאורך השנים אוכלוסיית אזור מערב השכונה גדלה באופן משמעותי, ואין ביכולתם של המקלטים הציבוריים להכיל אותם בעת הצורך. באזור זה ישנו מיעוט של בנייה חדשה, ולכן לרוב המוחלט של התושבים אין ממ"ד או מקלט תקני בביתם.

התוצאה היא מצב של סכנת חיים ממשית: בעת אזעקה, התושבים נאלצים להידחק בקושי רב למספר קטן של מרחבים מוגנים, שאינם מסוגלים להכיל את כמות האוכלוסייה. תושבים נותרים בחוץ בגלל עומס ודוחק. רבים התייאשו ובוחרים להישאר בבית ללא מיגון כלל.

אנו יודעים שהעירייה החלה בהצבת מיגוניות במקומות שונים בעיר ואנו דורשים כי במסגרת מאמץ זה ינתן מענה מספק לתושבי השכונה באיזורים בהם הדבר נדרש על ידי הצבת מיגוניות במרחב הציבורי במערב שכונת שפירא.

לתושבי השכונה שלנו מגיעה הזכות הבסיסית להגנה ולביטחון בשעת חירום.

Urgent demand for immediate protection solutions for residents of West Shapira neighborhood!

To: Mr. Ron Huldai, Mayor of Tel Aviv-Jaffa

We, the residents of Shapira neighborhood signed below, are turning to you with an urgent and clear demand: immediate protection solutions must be provided for residents living in the western part of the neighborhood.

Over the years, the population in this area has grown significantly, and the public shelters cannot hold everyone when needed. In this area, there is very little new construction, so most residents do not have a safe room or a standard shelter in their homes. The result is a real life risk: during sirens, residents are forced to squeeze into a small number of protected spaces that cannot hold the number of people. Some residents are left outside because of overcrowding. Many have given up and choose to stay at home without any protection. We know the municipality has started placing protected units in different parts of the city, and we demand that as part of this effort, a proper solution be given to residents of our neighborhood where it is needed, by placing protected units in public spaces in West Shapira.

Residents of our neighborhood deserve the basic right to protection and safety in times of emergency.
